BeefSD Takes "Beef 2020" Course
The beefSD group met in Brookings, SD at the SDSU Animal Science Meat Lab on January 4-6 for the "Beef 2020" course. They fabricated and had a live evaluation of a beef carcass. The event was made possible through a grant from the South Dakota Beef Council.

Welcome to beefSD!
“BeefSD” is a program designed to take beginning beef producers in South Dakota through an in-depth look at the beef industry. Over the next three years, this intensive process will help 42 beginning beef producers develop a stronger beef business on their farm or ranch. Eight case study participants will also take part in the program to share their expertise. BeefSD will include outreach to people not selected for the initial program, through shared sessions, webinars, and podcasts. The program is made possible through a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
