South Dakota Farm Bureau is considering individuals for nomination to serve on the Cattlemen’s Beef Promotion and Research Board. The position is a three-year term that begins in February 2027, with the option to be reappointed for a second term.

The Cattlemen's Beef Promotion and Research Board consists of 99 members, including domestic beef, dairy and veal producers, as well as importers of beef and beef products. Each member is appointed by the Secretary of Agriculture from nominations submitted by certified nominating organizations. The nominating organizations represent beef and dairy producers in each state or region. Forty-two states have individual members serving on the Board. The remainder of states are divided into three regions. Importer appointments are drawn from nominations by importer associations.
