SDFB announces college scholarship winners

The South Dakota Farm Bureau (SDFB) has announced this year’s recipients of $1,000 college scholarships from the South Dakota Farm Bureau Scholarship Fund.
Summer Bossman of Hartford is the daughter of Minnehaha County Farm Bureau member Jeff Bossman. Summer will graduate from Tri-Valley High School this month and plans on studying Dietetics next fall at South Dakota State University.
Allison Heine of Vermillion is the daughter of Clay County Farm Bureau members Todd Heine & Kelly Heine. After graduation from Vermillion High School, Allison plans to attend South Dakota State University next fall to study Dietetics.
Samantha Sleep of Spearfish is the daughter of Butte/Harding/Lawrence County Farm Bureau members Jeff & Jodi Sleep. Samantha will graduate from Spearfish High School this month and plans on majoring in Biotechnology and Animal Science at South Dakota State University next fall.
“Everyone at South Dakota Farm Bureau would like to congratulate these young ladies on outstanding high school careers, and it is with our best wishes for future success that we present them with these college scholarships,” said Wayne Smith, Executive Director of the South Dakota Farm Bureau.
Summer, Allison and Samantha will each receive a $1,000 scholarship from the South Dakota Farm Bureau. Since 2007, the SDFB Scholarship Fund has awarded $21,000 in scholarships to 21 students who are children of SDFB members. The Fund was established in 2005 by Agnes and Richard Ekstrum, past SDFB President, of Kimball, S.D.
