On November 15-18, 2012 the South Dakota Farm Bureau Federation will host its 95th annual meeting.  The event will be held in Spearfish, South Dakota at the Holiday Inn Convention Center.  Farm and ranch families from across the state will gather to set the organization's policies and direction for the upcoming year.

Farm Bureau's policies are set from the ground up, starting at the County Farm Bureau level from the grassroots voices of farmers and ranchers.  Resolutions passed by the counties are brought to the state convention and voted on by delegates there from across the state.  Enacted policies then guide the organization's lobbying efforts at the state capitol in the upcoming session of the State Legislature.  Policies dealing with national agriculture issues are brought to the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) annual meeting held each January, this year in Nashville, Tennessee.

Visit the SDFB Annual Meeting webpage for more details about the event.
