Southside Farm Services of Corsica was honored by the South Dakota Farm Bureau (SDFB) with the “Friend of Agriculture” award, in recognition for its service to the agriculture community in Corsica and the surrounding area.

“Farmers and ranchers couldn’t do what they do without local businesses that support them and understand the needs of today’s agriculture,” commented Scott VanderWal, SDFB President and family farmer from Volga, S.D. “It’s our pleasure to recognize Southside Farm Services and the work they do to sustain and grow agriculture in Corsica and the surrounding community.”

Keith and Val VandenHoek from Southside Farm Services received the Friend of Agriculture award during the SDFB Annual Meeting held recently in Pierre. They are shown here with members of the Douglas County Farm Bureau who were in attendance at the convention. Douglas County Farm Bureau nominated the VandenHoeks for this award.

South Dakota Farm Bureau is the state’s largest general agriculture organization, representing more than 16,000 farm, ranch and rural families across the state.
