"Inspiring our leaders for tomorrow" is the theme for this year's South Dakota Farm Bureau Camp, set for June 10-12 at Thunderstik Lodge near Chamberlain. The camp is open to high school students in grades 9-12. Parents of campers do not need to be Farm Bureau members for students to participate.
Campers will learn about leadership and patriotism, while making lifelong friends. The State FFA officers will work on team-building skills, the "Alive at 25" safe driving course will be offered, as well as fun games and campfires. Applications are due by May 1. Space is limited, so only the first 40 applicants can be accepted.
"Farm Bureau Camp is a great place for making new friends, but more importantly, the sessions and training we offer will help students become better citizens and leaders in their schools, churches, and communities," said Cindy Foster, South Dakota Farm Bureau Camp Director. "Farm Bureau Camp really is a life-changing opportunity."
