South Dakota Farm Bureau is a grassroots organization representing more than 16,000 families across the state -- the farmers and ranchers who care for the land that produces the crops and livestock, as well as families who care about their food and how it's produced.
SDFB has two categories of membership:
- Producer Members: farmers and ranchers, whether active or retired, or owners of land used for agricultural production
- Associate Members: those who are interested in and supportive of agriculture, but do not derive their income from it
The annual membership fee is $50, or pay $135 for a three-year membership. SDFB's outstanding Member Benefits
offer values on everyday purchases that pay for the cost of your membership many times over!
Together we can make sure South Dakota's #1 industry -- agriculture -- remains strong and sustainable for generations to come.

Hear from our members: "The main reason I joined Farm Bureau is that I see a future in agriculture, and I want it to be a strong future. We need to continue to provide a safe food source for America and the world, and I think Farm Bureau is on the right track."
-- Lee Kopriva, Clark / Day County Farm Bureau, member since 2009
"I like Farm Bureau because it is like a family. It's one big family that is all watching out for each other, and watching out for agriculture in general."
-- Cindy Foster, Davison / Hanson County Farm Bureau, member since 1987
