NextGen Beef Tour

Hosted by SDFB Young Farmers & Ranchers Committee, in partnership with Beef Logic.
The NextGen Beef Tour is a chance to network, learn and go behind the scenes of several beef operations in the Mitchell area. Friday evening features a networking, prizes, and a panel discussion exploring resources for young farmers and ranchers. On Saturday, attendees will board the bus to visit three different farms near Mitchell, each with a unique story to share.
AGENDA
Friday - Highland Conference Center
- 6 p.m. - Registration opens
- 6-9 p.m. - Social Hour and Vendor Fair with live music from Lizzy Hofer
- 6:30-7 p.m. - Getting Started Farming Panel discussion (participants to be announced)
Saturday - Bus Tour
*Tour begins and ends at Highland Conference Center
- 7:30 a.m. - Load the bus
- 8 a.m. - Cow/Calf Feedlot
- 10:30 a.m. - Feedlot
- 11:30 - Lunch with Featured Speaker
- 1 p.m. - Cow-calf operation
- 3:30 p.m. - Event concludes
REGISTRATION
Cost to attend is $30 per person, or $50 per couple.
